On Board Credit Question . . .

If we have a ship-board credit for an upcoming cruise, what happens when I purchase things on-line from RCI before the cruise?

Is it credited against my on-board credit, or does that not work until we actually get on-board?

Thanks.

When you log into your C and A account on the RCL website and make a purchase it will let you know if you can use your OBC. Just recently they have allowed purchases made on line prior to your cruise to be paid for with your OBC

It does not seem to be consistent though. I could pay for a dinner reservation with my OBC on one cruise but was not able to on another one.

If you are able to us it you will see it when you go to pay for your purchase. In the past all purchased made prior to your cruise had to be paid for at the time you order it.

I just tried and there is no where to use an OBC as payment.

Then your sailing is not one that allows OBC to be used for pre-cruise purchases. Anything you purchase pre-cruise will be charged to your credit card immediately.
