BarbieGee Posted November 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2016 Several years ago we sailed on the NCL Pearl and on our first night in the Main Dinning Room, we had lobster tails with our meal. I was told that this was the only night it was served and only on a 4 day or better cruise. Is this still the case?
ColinIllinois Posted November 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2016 No more free lobster tails on any nights.
BarbieGee Posted November 6, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted November 6, 2016 No more free lobster tails on any nights. I thought as much. I believe now it is Prime Rib for the first night.
ColinIllinois Posted November 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted November 6, 2016 My understanding is that some of the ships have it in the MDR but there is an up-charge for it. ($25)? Personally, I wouldn't pay that.

Personally, I wouldn't pay that. I did that on my last NCL Pearl trip (it was a specialty cruise so not sure lobster was taken off because of the nature of this cruise). I paid for a whole lobster dinner and it was good but small. Certainly not worth the $20 I paid for it. I wont do it again.
hawkeyetlse Posted November 6, 2016 #6 Share Posted November 6, 2016 It's now a 12oz tail for $24.99
BarbieGee Posted November 6, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted November 6, 2016 It's now a 12oz tail for $24.99  OMG! Might be better to have lobster in one of the ports visited. I love seafood, fish and shell fish. Funny that there is so little of that on an ocean vessel. :p
cb at sea Posted November 6, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 6, 2016 Not so funny, really...all seafood is frozen, so it's not as if they are catching seafood as they motor along!
BarbieGee Posted November 6, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted November 6, 2016 My lobster diner aboard the Pearl last January.
BarbieGee Posted November 6, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted November 6, 2016 Not so funny, really...all seafood is frozen, so it's not as if they are catching seafood as they motor along! I accept frozen but a larger variety would be expected. I did enjoy the sushi bar aboard the Pearl. Is there a sushi bar on board the Sky?
rockdoctor Posted November 6, 2016 #11 Share Posted November 6, 2016 Does NCI have anything that they don't charge extra for anymore.

littlemeagain Posted November 7, 2016 #13 Share Posted November 7, 2016 I ordered the surf & turf in the MDR last month. It was $24.99 (plus 18%) and it was delicious! I was in the mood for it! :)
jjikids Posted November 7, 2016 #14 Share Posted November 7, 2016 I thought as much. I believe now it is Prime Rib for the first night. Prime rib was on the last night of our cruise on the Breakaway two weeks ago.
