Do many boat people meet up again on future Boat Trips

We have a group of five couples going on an "accidental" reunion cruise on the Solstice Honolulu - Vancouver in April 2018. We met on a wonderful and very active roll call for our Amsterdam - Rome cruise on the Silhouette in Sept 2015. That cruise was fabulous, and everyone was just as much fun in person as they were on the the roll call. As it turned out, a couple of us booked the upcoming HNL cruise and reconnected on our current roll call. Friendships were rekindled instantly, and through the marvel of social media, we convinced a few of our other former cruisemates to join us. An unplanned reunion cruise, but we're all thrilled that we'll be reconnecting next year.

We have met lots of wonderful people and have cruised with them again. We also keep in contact via Facebook and CC.

YES!!! We will be cruising next year with Wallie and friends, we were on the Reflection and Equinox with them and have kept in touch throughout that time :)

 

We met with another couple over 15 years ago who live 45 minutes from us and have kept a close friendship with them. We have been to their anniversary and birthday parties and when our son, who is 24, decided he wanted to go into the dental field it was a no-brainer of who he would do his shadowing with since the husband has his own dental practice. He is there for our son for any questions he may have, they keep up with his grades and accomplishments, cruise friends are the best!!!

several times with other couples we have met on board...Kajo & Sabine who we met on board a Century T/A in '07 and live in Germany continue to be life long friends...and we have many others we have sailed with again and again...some times pre arranged and sometimes by shear luck!!!! Love CC for these treasured friendships!!!!...and so easy now with CC/FB and email to stay in touch!!! LuAnn

Well, we're not "boat" people, ;) but have made ship friends and have cruised with them many times. I've also met many people from the roll calls that have remained friends for many, many years. Great people!

SWMBO & I were discussing how many lovely people we had met on previous trips, both passengers and staff.

 

In January we (3) are meeting up with 2 peops from Canadia - who we have been with on 3 previous cruises , 2 brits & 2 Germans we met this year. All 9 are dining together - and have a couple of group trips scheduled in Barbados & St Maarten.

 

In addition we will be meeting up with 2 Brit couples who we still keep in touch with via Social Media and another couple from Canadia we met in Jan 2015 on Eclipse (who all went in a med cruise June this year)

 

Is this the norm? I know a lot of CC posters are habitual boat travellers - just wondering if others have the luck we have had in meeting such fantastic people.

 

Oh and a warning - if on Eclipse late January and not keen on a group who continually laugh and joke and treat the Staff with civility and respect it nay be a good idea to give the Bar at back of the boat a wide berth late afternoons[emoji41]
