Royal Princess & Football Question

Sailing on the Royal Princess next week, I know there is a lot to a cruise vacation, but we are diehard football fans. Any recent experiences to provide? Do they show any games on the Movies Under the Stars screen?

 

We are hoping they have ABC onboard.

Yes, usually they will have football on the big screen on Sundays. We were on the Regal from 11-6 to 11-13 and two games were on...Sunday and on Thursday night, there was football game in the Vista Lounge.

Princess ships do not show network (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) games unless they are broadcast on ESPN International.

 

I've been onboard on Thanksgiving Day & the network (CBS, FOX, NBC) games were shown on ESPNI & were available on the cabin TV system. I don't recall whether they were also on MUTS, Vista Lounge or Club 6 which have all had sports broadcasts. I've also seen Sunday, Monday & Thursday Night games on MUTS as well as other games earlier on Sunday.

 

Since you're asking about ABC, I'm guessing that you're looking for a college game. ABC & ESPN are linked together & have had a Saturday night CFB game of the week shown on the cabin system on ESPN but not on MUTS.

 

Apparently the CD makes these decisions so experiences can vary.

When I was on the Royal Princess last January for 20 days we see the playoffs and the Super Bowl on MUTS it was great.

On all the ships I have been on with Princess they all have shown football on Movies under the Stars (day and night time) and some show it in the casino area or churchills (smoking room)and some actually let it be shown on tv.

 

We just got off the 28 day Crown trip to South Pacific and they had the games on at night and all day Sunday in MUTS and the casino area.
