Sooooo...winnings in hand, what's a couple to do? Go shopping! :p Let's talk about shopping on the ship for a minute. Husband had tried on an $1800 watch (it was actually marked way more than that, but it "got down" to that), had also tried on a $200 watch. I had tried on some expensive rings in the upstairs shops where they couldn't even come up with a price  and I needed to get to a show. I had also fallen in love with a $79 ring in one of the shops downstairs, but they didn't have my size. No matter how many times I tried on the 6 and the 8, I still needed a 7 and they didn't have it.

So what did I end up getting? An $18 ring that I'm completely happy with.

Sorry for the bad pic, but that's what I took, and at least my nails were holding up okay. :o

I also bought a $40 gold shoulder bag with a monkey key ring. :D (Yes, I know my age, but darn it was cute!) Husband also bought a couple t-shirts when they were two for thirty (or something like that).

There were times when the shopping frenzies were unbelievable! They did a really good job creating excitement. To each his own. ;)

I realize the BIG question is...did Husband get a watch? And if so, which one?

Well there was this going on:

IMG_20161208_203132.jpg

Can you say, watch FRENZY? People were stockpiling watches for the next millennium. Never mind that we don't necessarily need watches anymore since our phone is our everything, but well, they are a nice accessory, huh? ;) Well Husband certainly thinks so, and I'm happy to report that he is now the proud owner of not only this nice watch, but a nice pen as well. And a nice other thing that I can't remember what it was, as well.

We chose to go upstairs to the Oceanview instead, and it was a terrific buffet day as far as we were concerned. And I know this kinda thing might feel hokey to many, to me it touched my heart:

IMG_20161117_165343.jpg

I enjoyed my selections very much:

I actually thought the quality of the lunch buffet food got better as the cruise went on. First day I wasn't overly impressed, but there were definitely some days where it was better than others and this was one of them.

We chose to have "dessert" at Cafe al Bacio. Nothing like some good espresso and an anise biscotti to keep a gal going:

IMG_20161117_210442.jpg

Going back to the cabin was also invigorating:

IMG_20161117_185943.jpg

Not to mention seeing that we still had a little way more to go helped as well:

After relaxing for awhile, I managed to convince Husband to do Bingo again. I mean who could resist a chance at $20,000?

IMG_20161208_210833.jpg

Not me, that's for sure! :p

So another $39 investment was made and in we went to Celebrity Central 4 for three rousing games:

IMG_20161117_200949.jpg

Okay, so we didn't win again :(, we did have fun booing the standers  If you've never played bingo before, you have to know that if you are in a position to win, well, everyone hates you! They will boo you! This is not the game you should play if you want people to like you.

That being said, we didn't feel compelled to like the folks that won either, because they weren't us. ;) (and no, nobody won the $20,000).

Now, mind you this was another evening chic night  We were seriously over the dressing up stuff at this point. Note: I think I failed to mention a previous one, as this was our third one. We were so darn relaxed we just wanted to stay that way, but dress up a bit we did and off we went to the Grand Cuvee for DINNER. (yes, again!)

We sat down at our usual table, and our next-door-neighbor friends said "get the scallop, get a double order, it's the best thing we've had on the whole cruise".

Well, let's just see what they're talking about and what our options are:

Well I wasn't born yesterday, so I know when to take advice. Scallop indeed!

IMG_20161117_221701.jpg

I have to agree that this was indeed one of the best things we had in the Main Dining Room! Small portion, but rich and delicious. Bring on small but mighty any day, as far as I'm concerned!

I also had a bit of Creamy Smoked Tomato Bisque and it was good also, but hard to compete with the scallop action!

I'm sure you know what Husband got for his entree, and he was super happy with it. Yes, bring on the Beef Wellington!

IMG_20161117_222828.jpg

By now I had somehow not learned my seafood lesson. So I (of course) ordered the lobster. Iskandar was totally looking out for my best interests with this as he not only rushed to cut it out of the shell as soon as it arrived, but he was checking it to make sure it was cooked all the way through. (it was). He also took it upon himself to order TWO for me. While that was super sweet, it was also super overwhelming for this gal who eats relatively small portions.

IMG_20161117_222928.jpg

The first few bites were very delicious. But I find lobster to be very rich (maybe because they pour butter over it? ;)) A few bites in and I was struggling. Plus I very much didn't care for the blah rice (not worth the calories). I was coveting Husband's potato and he was kind enough to share a bit. In hindsight I would have ordered the duck.

Dessert?

IMG_20161117_224902.jpg

Well I was fairly overwhelmed by rich calories, so I opted to just drink rather than chew more calories. Yes, nothing like a little Grand Marnier to warm a gal's heart:

IMG_20161117_225401.jpg

Husband meanwhile was going for the big chill:

IMG_20161117_225527.jpg

Iskandar explained to us that the reason they quit doing the grand baked alaska flaming dessert experience was not just because select dining meant the end of same-time dining experiences, but also because it wasn't the safest thing for the staff to be doing (flames). We were totally okay with the dining room staff taking care of us rather than doing the latest hokey pokey.:p I certainly never heard any complaints from Husband about his dessert choice.

Wow. I can't thank you enough for this great review...and your photos are incredible. I haven't had the pleasure of doing a TA yet, but it's most definitely high up on the list. :)

Thank you Diane, I hope you do get to experience a TA! And hopefully I will have this review finished soon!

Thank you, once again, for your wonderful review. I think I am almost as sad that your review is coming to an end as you were that your cruise was nearly over ( well, obviously, not quite!)

I have so enjoyed all the posts and photos - remembering the crew, the entertainment, the ship and everything that made our first Celebrity cruise so wonderful!

We did decide to go hang out in the Grand Foyer 3 at the Passport Bar in anticipation of the show that was coming up at 10:25. Time to put that Premium Drink Package to use since we hadn't used it much yet ;)

We would keep trying the Passport Bar, and it was okay, but the service was never friendly like the World Bar or the Martini Bar.

I think they had public banos somewhere, but darned if we could figure out where, so we did what we had to do...stopped for pizza with our bathroom :D

great idea to post a pic of the price of the pizza etc too. Gives others an idea of prices there. I am loving the pictures. They are so beautiful.

The real magic happened on the way down the stairs to the Passport Bar. Husband grabbed my hand as we got to the bottom of the stairs and surprised the heck out of me by leading me in a dance! :D OMG it made my day, my week, my cruise! Neither of us are dancers, but he especially is not fond of it (believe me, we tried the Fred Astaire dance classes for a brief time and he wasn't exactly ecstatic about it :o) So, to have him surprise me with this special moment was something I hope to never forget. Although I don't remember what the song was! :( I do however remember the feel of being in his arms and the excitement of being twirled. Would have loved for it to last for more songs, but a girl's gotta appreciate what she gets when she gets it. :p

Thank you Nanny8...it is my hope that my words and pics are of some help to others, as I gathered all kinds of help and tips before our trip!

Anticipation was building for the night's Celebrity ROX Interactive Theme Party with Silhouette Singers & Dancers: Music by Casablanca

Although not ideal seats for an overall view, we did have a decent side view of the event, which was very enjoyable!!

This was also the night that we started to discover how multi-talented Cruise Director John was! He played guitar and sang! There was even some Elvis going on.

I just loved the musical events in the central parts of the ship! There was something so exciting and invigorating about them, yet intimate at the same time because you were right among them!

There was a feeling of: we are all sharing this music, this talent, this moment. We will never have this again. It was just so uplifting and downright magical. I am truly appreciative of all the singers, dancers and musicians on this ship, as well as the behind-the-scenes hard workers. You could tell how much work had gone into every show and experience.

As audio folks ourselves, we stopped and talked to a sound guy in the main theater one night, as we took a peek at the sound board. He was filling in and had to learn a lot quickly! I don't know how many folks know how much work and experience that takes, but we made it a point to let him know that we found the sound in the main theater to be on point for every show we saw.

So what's a couple to do after the excitement of that great interactive show? Well, have a nightcap, that's what! So up we went to the World Bar (where we hadn't been for a DAYS now ) And sure enough, the relatively small bar was packed and we couldn't get a seat, so we sat at the second tier.

IMG_20161118_030918.jpg

Husband was liking the sounds of this one, and George saw us and made sure it happened:

IMG_20161118_031411.jpg

IMG_20161118_031755.jpg

At least we kept hydrated with Perrier and San Pellegrinos (thanks to our drink package!) :p

The good thing about staying up late on the ship was if you got hungry, the buffet kept going with pizza and pasta until 1 am. We know. We have evidence, such as this night's:

IMG_20161118_033041.jpg

And this was just mine. No telling what Husband had. As always on this cruise, I relieved him of food porn duties on the buffet. (and only on the buffet). ;)

Back at our cabin it was once again happy news:

IMG_20161118_014733.jpg

Also meant that I was wrong earlier in thinking that we watched Remember on a different date. Apparently it was this one. Doesn't matter when we saw it, it was a darn good movie!

Here was the view from the bridge: :)
