Golden Princess P234

We have been assigned this cabin for a long cruise in '18. I note Plaza is popular with many cruisers but I'm hoping to find some specific info for this cabin. The notes say only Queen bed. Is the cabin smaller? Where is the bed in relation to the window? Anchor noise maybe?

I have posted the same questions in the 'Princess' section but thought with the Golden in Australia there maybe some recent passengers with some info.

I cannot help in relation to that particular cabin, however, being on the Plaza deck is really handy to the atrium. Therefore the Main dining rooms, guest services, shops, numerous bars, the casino and the theatre are all close by with in a floor or two.

If you are traditional dining the Plaza deck is not so great as you need to go all the way to the rear on level 7 and then drop down a floor to level six using the rear stairs or elevators.

Thankyou for the information. Yes I did think about the dining room as we have traditional dining booked so may look at changing .... or I guess we could use the extra exercise as we'll probably need it!

It's not too much of a hassle. We tended to go to one of the bars on deck 7 for a pre-dinner drink so then all we had to do is go a little more aft and down the stairs.

Using the stairs is easy enough, waiting for those rear lifts can be a long time coming (also need them for sky walkers).

Extra exercise is good.

Just thought it would be a factor for some people.:D

Thanks again. I will spend some time checking deck plans. It will be our first time forward & I think being close to the IC will be a positive for our morning coffee!!

Great choice, its a little private community up front there, same as lido 14.

Its going to be our new choice up forward.

Only thing is its a way from H.C.

Nup its a great choice.

Its so private that while sitting at vines I was wondering why passengers were coming out of the doors, it took 7 days to muster the courage to ask why. I thought they were doing a ships tour, but no, its sort of like a forgotten part of the ship.

The only query I have is noise from the theatre above.

I now recall sitting at Vines and thinking the same thing about passengers using the door there.... I guess it's the same on the other side near the IC where our cabin is located. Hopefully the Theatre won't be too much of a problem. No doubt we'll be there watching performances quite regularly.

It will be nice to visit Vines again!!

We were directly under the theatre and only heard some muffled music from one of the shows for one or two of the songs, it was finished by 10.45pm. Admittedly, we were not in the room for a few of the nights when the shows were on.

Apart from one evening, Vines was under utilised for our cruise, hardly anyone sitting there when the bar was open. It looked great knowing we could always get a seat.:D
