My wife and Mother-in-law used one like this when we went on the Vista to Europe. It worked well for holding passport along with credit cards and a few Euro's when we were in port. They would were it around their neck and tuck it inside their blouse when they were "strolling" the safe streets of Athens and Barcelona.

Seen lanyards all over --Staples, Target, 99c Store, Daiso, Marshall's, Nordstrom etc. Just saw some pretty ones on the Walmart jewelry counter.

What kind of lanyard do you want? I don't like many of the materials used, the ribbon ones bother the heck out of me. I like the free coil from the Casino, finally found one that I like in the Miracle's gift shop. Woven pleather, came with a pocket.

I usually try to go to the casino and get a free lanyard and have my S&S Card punched. But I want to buy something where I wouldn't have to have the card punched, maybe a plastic holder. Any suggestions to buy on Amazon?

On my last cruise which was last month, my Sail and Sign card came pre-punched with a hole in it at check in.

Charming Charlie's has some nice lanyards if you have one of those stores near you. I've seen 3 types of lanyards in Carnival onboard gift shops: ribbon type, bead type, and rhinestone type.

My daughter is a special ed teacher so she has to have quick release ones for work which are pretty hard to find so I learned how to make them and it is pretty easy. You can use customized ribbon, shoelaces, cord, whatever is comfortable around your neck then whatever type of clasp you chose.
