You can also buy "casino" credits if the rate is favorable. You take the casino credit vouchers to the casino and they give you USD cash! I used the casino as a bank on our last cruise because of the great rate we had when we booked. Not so good this time, booked rate is 1.30 and current exchange rate is 1.315 and our next cruise doesn't leave until next Jan.

There have been reports that they have changed this. No vouchers, but the credits are on your on board account. Not sure if their use is restricted to the casino.

Hello all,

 

 

 

I was on the Oct 27th Regal repo cruise and because of when I booked I was able to buy OBC at a currency rate of 1.20 CAD. I bought a lot of OBC since by the time we sailed the US/CAD rate was 1.35.

 

 

 

We had about $300 left at the end of the cruise and I understood it would be about 4-6 weeks before I would receive a check from Princess.

 

 

 

The 6 weeks is not up yet, but I'm wondering if the 4-6 weeks is correct and I forgot to find out would the funds be refunded in US or CAD.

 

 

 

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I was on this same cruise. I received my refund check over a week ago. I think you should call Princess.
