I can give you 1st hand info from the Allure, which is the same since it's the same group of guys that came over to RCI together.

 

It was our favorite specialty dining experience we have done on RCI.

 

IMO, it was a notch above the food quality and show you would see at Benihana or any other hibachi places you have likely been to.

Our group did this. I didn't think the food was any better than what we had at a land restaurant, but it was good and we had a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

We did Izumi Hibachi on Allure in February and plan to do it again next week when back on board Allure. Our chef actually came to RC from a Benihana in Arizona I believe. Their routine seems to be largely scripted. No Yum yum sauce which was a bummer and no open flame on board so some of the Hibachi experience was subdued from a mainland restaurant but we enjoyed the food and the experience. Portions were very generous in our opinion.

I recently went on Harmony for my birthday and we all had a great time. We met new people at the table and had the great entertainment of the chef. It was similar to on land, which I don't go to often, but I'd definitely go again.
