VermeulT Posted December 10, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2016 I have recently acquired a non-"GoPro" action camera and I'm wondering what kind of mount you'd use for snorkeling.... Wrist strap seems to be the easiest idea but looking for input before I start shopping for more accessories... Thanks.
Rare Turtles06 Posted December 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2016 You might want to see the article at this link about using a Go Pro for snorkeling, including the discussion of poles and floating handles: http://www.tropicalsnorkeling.com/gopro-for-snorkeling.html Good luck and enjoy! dreadpirate3 Posted December 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2016 We have the head strap mount and the floating handle. Will just depend what we want to use at the time.

Rare Tahitianbigkahuna Posted December 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 13, 2016 I mount to the top of my mask. The camera will see what you see. Your hands stay free ;) I program the camera for a higher frame rate, usually 60 or 120. The reason for this is you will be moving and turning your head quickly, the higher frame rate isn't a blurry for action shots, much smoother.
