Anthem NY Deli

Hi,

 

A few months ago, Royal Caribben posted a video about a new NY Deli in the Winjammer. They desribed authenticity with some meats imported from a famous deli in NY and modeled after several famous delis.

 

How is the food here? When is the deli open and what options are there?

Just spent 12 days on Anthem - did not see it. There is an area in the back of Windjammer that makes sandwiches but nothing really special about it.

Without having been on the Anthem.

 

And judging from the all the menu changes on other ships.

 

I highly doubt they have anything resembling a NY Deli at all.

 

They probably just put out a bunch pre-made sandwiches and call it that.

Royal would take this and make at least 10 sandwiches out of it.:eek:

The fixings are by the omlet station. My husband got a reuben type panini. From what I saw you are better off having a New York deli sandwich in New York or you will be VERY disappointed. The good new is that in the middle of the cruise the LOX comes out at breakfast time, if that you you like.

Yes, thats what his panini looked like, not like any deli sandwich I ever had. My husband said it tasted good for what it was. The deli section on utube looked a lot less impressive in person... a lot less!

It's a small typical deli station within the buffet, open during windjammer hours.

 

Hey, I'm glad it's there, rather than not being there at all.
