I have been getting these offers for quite some time, but have not taken advantage till now. It is now between the two ships above. pro's cons would be appreciated. I live less than a mile from Port Everglades so really getting to either port is not an issue..... TIA

Also does anyone know what is the difference between rate code PC3 & PC5?

Hope you enjoy your premier cruise.

My offer shows PC9 and says it comes with up to $550 off fun select rates and $400 casino cash. I'm not sure about the PC3 and PC5 offer details. Maybe some others will share what their offers say to help you compare.

I quit booking the premier offers when Carnival switched to a requirement to earn at least 7,500 points on a single premier cruise to qualify for the ultra premier offer. I've been booking bounce back offers instead since I can avoid the single supplement with them.

Hope you have a good time and win lots of money.

I would choose splendor because I love the tandoor but have been in both ships and enjoyed them both. I find sailing out of port Everglades to be a better experience than Miami which just always seems to be chaotic and unpleasant.

Apparently I'm PC4 forever and always.

Did my 4th Premier in just under 2 years; first on Freedom, 2nd on Conquest, 3rd on Sunshine, and 4th on Splendor. I'd also sailed Splendor a couple other times over the past two years.

Personally, I prefer Conquest. No, there's no Serenity Deck, but Splendor's is pretty small anyway. I also prefer the Fish & Chips to the upstairs dining on Splendor, but I believe that's been changed to something else now on Conquest.

I much, much prefer the decor on Conquest (love the Impressionist art).

But I sail for the itinerary, not the ship. Whichever one works out for my work schedule and gets me to the ports I'd rather visit is the one I'll choose, if the price is approximately the same.

The table minimums were $10 with $2 chips on Splendor, which they had not been when I sailed her to Bermuda in October 2015. At least, I don't remember that. Not sure if they do that on all Premier sailings now or whether it's standard across the fleet.

Plus, I had a casino drink waiter on Freedom who was also on Conquest (6 months later). He remember me and what I liked to drink!! Those people are amazing! So, I'd choose Conquest just to see if Ademar was still working on that ship.

If the benefits of cruising on Conquest become a factor, I can say I cruised on Conquest in November 2013 and absolutely loved it and it was a great crew, and then sailed on Conquest last month and it was totally different. Last month when I cruised on Conquest, the staff acted very indifferent and the service was not good at all, neither at the bars nor in the main dining room. My cabin steward was noticeably absent last month too on Conquest. What a difference 3 years can make. I also noticed that cruising from Fort Lauderdale was a lot less enjoyable last month too. Fort Lauderdale has become so crowded and the traffic so bad (especially in the port area), that I won't cruise from there again anytime soon.

Just my two cents. And I usually love cruising on Carnival. I just call 'em like I see 'em.

Hope you have a great cruise.

Last cruise was my first time sailing from Miami (I'd sailed into Miami a couple of times on repos) and I was not impressed.

Granted, when you have Premier sailings and have all those people getting priority boarding along with all the Diamond/Platinum and VIFP, it's going to be hectic.

I'll see what it's like boarding in FLL in a couple of weeks on HAL. I'm a lowly 1 Star cruiser so no priority for me this time! ;)

And, I thought my Splendor cruise last month was not great. Nothing I could really put my finger on, but the vibe just wasn't the same. With all the workers having so much more on their various plates (stewards and waitstaff certainly do), I'm not surprised. They still do a great job, imo, but they're stretched very thin. That's the price of us having such cheap fares.

Thanks all for the info... I think at this point it will be up to my cabin mate to see what itinerary she prefers as she does not sail as much as I do and I have been to all of the ports many times.....

As far as your HAL cruise... Personally I love them!! It is a lot more laid back, yes there are older grumpy folks but I always managed to have fun. Word to the wise, don't get to the port too early, again the grumpy folks and use the entrance on 17th Street opposed to the main gate. It is MUCH quicker to get in..... Have your cruise docs and ID ready as that is your first security check..

I can't compare ships as I've haven't been on the Conquest but we had a great time on the Splendor this past April. We are actually doing a premiere cruise on it in January (24 more days!). I've received 3 premiere offers this year. All were PC3 (Up to $550 off and $200 casino cash).

Ademir on Conquest was also a fav of mine on an August 2015 sailing.
