anandaindonesia Posted December 16, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2016 I love so much our experience on AmaPrima, especially the culinary highlight at the Chef's Table. Let me share with you [emoji2] . First, waiting at our table is the amouse bouche : goat cheese, watermelon and heirloom tomatoes. What a good start! It hints on what more to come.... Then comes an appetiser of phyllo pastry with spinach on a bed of bulgur and couscous with salsa. Really, not your usual phyllo pastry! Trust me. This is a beetroot salad with apple and celery. What an extraordinary presentation! Then comes the soup. Turnip and parsley soup with wild oyster mushroom. So yummy! To clear the tangy taste of the wild oyster mushroom, we gulped down the palate cleanser : pear sorbet (non alcoholic). Tapatalk only allow limited number of pictures so I will continue in the next posting.
anandaindonesia Posted December 16, 2016 Author #2 Share Posted December 16, 2016 For the main : tofu, potato puree, brocolli, pumpkin seed, cauliflower with guacamole, vegetable pearls and spinach and couscous beautifully wrapped in leaves. At this point I am really full but I can't help to finish it all! And on the side there are quinoa and ravioli with olive oil. It complement the main nicely. Grande finale : Vanilla ice cream, cheese brulee, chocolate gateau! That is a night to remember, a heavenly feast. Mind you, we are vegetarian so the chef has been very kind to create special dishes for us. Your menu may have been even better [emoji106] . Rare jpalbny Posted December 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 16, 2016 No worries about the diagonal pictures. All of the food looks very tasty, even to this carnivore! Thanks for sharing.
TeaBag Posted December 17, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 17, 2016 Thank you so much for the pictures. We are on the Prima next June and looking forward to some of this great food. We are not vegetarians, but it still all looks good.

phabric Posted December 21, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 21, 2016 Going on my first AMA cruise. In the dining room, you have a choice of food to choose from the menu. Do you have a choice of food for the Chef Table or does everyone have the same meal?
anandaindonesia Posted December 21, 2016 Author #9 Share Posted December 21, 2016 Going on my first AMA cruise. In the dining room, you have a choice of food to choose from the menu. Do you have a choice of food for the Chef Table or does everyone have the same meal? The Chef's decides the menu and the wine pairing, so everybody get the same menu. Small serving, it is a tasting meals. It is so good you wouldn't want otherwise. Of course if you have any allergy, do let them know when booking, so they can adjust accordingly. Confirm your booking as early as possible if you have a specific timing.
anandaindonesia Posted December 26, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted December 26, 2016 Going on my first AMA cruise. In the dining room, you have a choice of food to choose from the menu. Do you have a choice of food for the Chef Table or does everyone have the same meal? Please disregards my previous post. My apologies. I browse through my papers and found the Chef's Table menu. You do have 3 opitions for the main : fish, ravioli or ribs. We are vegetarian so we just accept whatever they serve us. We were not aware of the choices. For desserts, besides the desserts variation, the "always available" fruit platter and cheese platter are options you may have. Hope this clear my mistake. Sorry again. You are actually served all three, unless you have made a special request. I am not a dessert fan and always order the cheese course for dessert. AMA has lovely cheeses.
