danrad Posted December 26, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2016 Hi all, I'm on Celebrity Equniox now (having great time!). I was wondering if you can still go to the cash machine in the casino and take out the rest of any onboard credit you have so it doesn't go to waste? I'm sure I've read about it on here but don't want to do it and find it comes off as a separate charge and not from the credit. Thanks all for your help. Sox59 Posted December 26, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2016 I believe that you can use your OBC in the casino. But not take it as cash, they will put it onto your "slots account", to be used only in the casino. However, if you win, you can cash out.. WestLakeGirl Posted December 26, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 26, 2016 Cash machine? Do you mean the ATM? You can't use your SeaPass card there, you need your ATM card from your bank
Rare cruisestitch Posted December 26, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2016 Since you are on the ship now, if I read correctly, just go to the casino and talk to the people at the cashier's booth -- they will explain it all to you.
wrk2cruise Posted December 26, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 26, 2016 You can no longer get cash from your seapass account from the casino if you have OBC. There is a sign posted at the casino cage.
blueneostang Posted December 27, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2016 I have not found this info anywhere else, this seems like it might be a good place to ask; would it be wise to bring cash for the casino with you? I'm not a fan of all the outrageous ATM fees that you tend to be charged for using a debit or credit card. So you cannot use you seapass card to get chips at the tables? Seems strange
Rare cruisestitch Posted December 27, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 27, 2016 Yes you can use your SeaPass card to get chips for the tables. They will be specially marked chips. They cannot be cashed in, they can only be bet. If you win, you will win a different kind of chip which can be cashed in.

Your OBC is sent to your sea pass "personal banker" at the machines. If you win, you win.. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

If you win, you win. Confused--Could you explain in a little more detail, not sure what is a "personal banker". Can you put your OBCN onto your casino account, and then cash out what remains in your casino account after you're done gambling for the day/cruise? WestLakeGirl Posted December 27, 2016 #11 Share Posted December 27, 2016 (edited) Maybe a couple of scenarios will help You have $100 do on board credit. You buy $100 of marked chips. You bet $20 and lose. You cannot do anything else other than continue to bet with the remaining marked chips. You cannot take those remaining $80 over the cashier and receive money for them, You bet $20 and win $200. You will receive different chips back which you can cash in at the cashier's desk. You still have the original $80 which you can not cash in, you can only bet them, as above. If you play machines You load the $100 into a machine, into your account there. You cannot just cash out, head over to the cashier and receive money, you must bet it in the machines. If you only bet $50, you cannot do anything with the remaining $50 in your account other than continue to use to bet with it, because it cannot be cashed out. If you are tired of playing, you remove your SeaPass card from the machine. There's still $50 on it. Tomorrow you can insert the card again and continue to play on the $50 remaining from the original $100 OBC you loaded into your slot machine account. If you win, you can cash out what you have won. wrk2cruise Posted December 27, 2016 #13 Share Posted December 27, 2016 One slight correction to the example: You bet $20 and win $200. You will receive different chips back which you can cash in at the cashier's desk. You still have the original $80 which you can not cash in, you can only bet them, as above. The original bet of $20 is not exchanged for regular chips. You still have $100 in promo chips. Bottom line is you can only lose the promo chips (or slot credit), anything you win along the way you can cash out.
WestLakeGirl Posted December 27, 2016 #14 Share Posted December 27, 2016 Thanks, sorry I was unclear. Your "bottom Inge" says it all

I have never seen different chips, this is really confusing, so I get $100 chips in$5 denominations so 20 chips from the table, put $20 0n black it wins so I have $140 I ask to cash out give me 5x$25 chips and 3 x 5$ chips, go the cashier and they give me $$140 how do they know ??? Maybe I am thick but I just don't get this

blueneostang Posted January 9, 2017 #18 Share Posted January 9, 2017 I saw them playing roulette, they have a picture of a ship, are red and blue, and say "Promotional Credit - No Cash Value". I only saw them in $5 increments. When they won, they'd pay with a $5 "cash" chip. If they lost, buh-bye! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
