Stupid question sorry, but how do you cash out OBC in the casino?

I'm curious if this is now the case on all ships too. It seems it would make that last day crazy at the cash in booth if everybody who gambled during the cruise had to wait until last day to cash out. I hope it was just an isolated situation and not a new procedure!

I'm so glad this question came up! Last month my husband and I ended up with some leftover OBC, and we didn't know how to get it back in cash. We ended up waiting for a cheque to arrive from Carnival, which was okay, but the cash would have been nice to have right away.

 

If non refundable you obviously dont get it back. Have to watch this.

 

Last time for us we cashed in Carnival M/C points for a large amount of obc and figure it was refundable.

 

Surprise for some reason they consider it non refundable. Lucky we asked or we would have gotten a nasty surprise.

Usually I pull a slot once for the minimum bet and then cash out my obc balance at the cage.

 

I've done this on several cruises to get back excess OBC without even playing the machine one time. Never had an issue. Never went back to find out if they closed my account or not as I'm not a gambler.

Yes, because if effect you are just making a charge to your S&S account which is covered by the OBC you have.

I believe all of it is nonrefundable. If it came from a TA that is usually refundable. I know that they say OBC for price drops using Early Saver are supposed to be nonrefundable but they seem to be refundable. I have gotten OBC from a promo and it has been nonrefundable. We were told the OBC for booking you next cruise is nonrefundable. So on our next cruise we will have $300 nonrefundable OBC. $100 for booking next cruise onboard and $200 from the promo offer they had last year.

Stockholder obc is non refundable for sure. Ask at guest services about the rest.

The good part is that anything you spend money on will be deducted from your non-refundable credit first leaving you with any refundable credit that you have.

We just returned from our Carnival Splendor cruise and I loaded all of my gift cards onto my sign and sail once onboard and then each evening we charged some funds to our card, gambled a while, and then cashed out. I had no problem cashing out throughout the cruise and didn't have to wait until last night so if it is a new procedure it hasn't gone to all ships yet.
