GSC tendering times

Hi Everyone,

Since you have all been such a great help to this NCL newbie, I was hoping you could help me with one more question.

I know we have to tender to GSC. I have tendered in past cruises with other lines but was wondering what are the peak times for tendering to their private island (GSC)? I had read on another thread that it is usually open first come, first served in the morning, but then you require the tickets during peak tender times. I wasn't able to find a thread to identify the potential best times to tender.

What time should we tender by to avoid peak times?

Thanks in advance.

It depends on the ship you're on and the passenger load.

We were just on the EPIC, didn't get advance tender tickets and couldn't get off until 11:30. It totally sucked.

There was no open call for early off. They started with people on NCL excursions and maybe some other priority people then started calling the letters.

Get yourself tender tickets asap. You don't have to get off when they call, you can go any time after they've called your number.

That said. We had "P" and they told us we had to also use "P" for Grand Caymen. We went when they called "E" and we were going to play stupid if they called us out on it. They didn't. We walked off onto the boat, no one said a word.

Thanks for the reply. I realised after I should have put the ship in my post. We are on the Sky. I have never needed to get tender tickets on any other cruise (we have been in very few tender ports, and if we were had cruise excursions booked). Do we get these tickets the day before? And if so where do we go, guest services?

Thanks again!

The Sky is a much smaller ship and what I posted probably doesn't apply.

Hello! I have a quick question for you as we are sailing on the Epic next week and have only sailed to GSC on the smaller ships. Can you get the Tender Tickets on the first day and I wasn't sure if you get them at Guest Services or the Shore Excursion Desk?

Thanks,

JollyCruise

i was on BA in december. times are meaningless for reservations. i saw people show the attendant their tickets and they were told 'back of the line'

once you are in the theater, you can go up front if you have excursion. my guess is they check those tickets

but it really is first come first serve on the BA. i dont even know why they have reservations at all. this was around 1015 ish.

also was told i just bought the right to 'a' clamshell

nothing specific

good i got there when i did. even on the 'C' beach he said there were only 2 left and only one was mesh. someone 5 minute later got the one with no vent. even with vent you cooked in it a bit. but still it was a MUST cause i hate sitting in the sun.

Apparently we were supposed to do it through our TV on the first day, but I missed the memo.

You can either do it on your tv in your cabin (I would suggest as soon as you get to your cabin) or else you can go to the box office on deck 6 forward when it opens. The box office usually has a long line so would be best to do it in you cabin.

Also, sign up for any comedy shows you want to see on your tv the first day. We tried to do it the first night and they were already all booked.

Thank you so much for the tip, I really appreciate it! We will hit the TV as soon as we get to our cabin :)
