Dubbs Posted January 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2017 So my wife and I ate at 4 specialty and I'll rank them in order from best to worst in our opinion. Keep in mind this was just our opinion. 1. Cagneys 2. Teppanyaki 3. La Cucina 4. Moderno (Others raved about this one. Maybe we just got bad cuts but the filet was chewy and so was the bacon wrapped chicken breast.)
Number34 Posted January 9, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2017 Last cruise on Epic I ate in all of the speciality restaurants at least twice apart from once only in the Teppanyaki. My order is: Le Bistro Cagneys Teppanyaki Moderno La Cucina - would be higher but did not like the location.
edawn Posted January 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 9, 2017 Le Bistro Teppanyaki Moderno Cagney's Those were the only four we went to on Epic. Cagney's would have been higher except for the extremely slow service and loud crowd. Sent from my Moto G (4) using Forums mobile app
Rare BirdTravels Posted January 10, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2017 (edited) Manhattan room, taste, O'Shehans, Cagney's, teppanyaki, garden buffet We hate Le bistro since the menu changes Edited January 10, 2017 by BirdTravels
dinek1 Posted January 10, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Le Bistro is our favorite. Excellent food and service. Never disappointed. We always eat there on all NCL ships. Very consistent!
ejnsb Posted January 10, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 10, 2017 We had excellent meals in Le Bistro (coq au vin is amazing), La Cucina and Cagney's. For free restaurants, we liked Shanghai Noodle Bar. Sent from my iPad using Forums
SNJCruisers Posted January 10, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Food is very subjective as you can tell from the few responses that you have received so far. In general though, across many different threads discussing the same topic, Cagney's and Le Bistro usually come out on top. Froggitt Posted January 10, 2017 #11 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Le Bistro is very nice. HOWEVER If there is some wailing banshee in the atrium doing some activity with the unwashed, you end up with a violin concerto in one ear and screaming about bingo or dancing or a quiz in the other ear. All there is in between is a thin curtain. We asked to move tables to the other side of the restaurant which was more bearable....the hostess said that we were the third party to have asked to be shifted from those tables by the "curtain" so far that evening. It needs to be soundproof glass, not a curtain.
SullytheBFG Posted January 10, 2017 #12 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Definitely Le Bistro. La Cucina is the worst very salty and horrible American Italian food. Just my opinion......
pe4all Posted January 10, 2017 #13 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Cagneys, then Le Bistro. The others are fine, but these 2 are our favorites.
Froggitt Posted January 10, 2017 #14 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Cagneys and Moderno, an "inside window seat" you get a good view of Burn the floor when its in the MDR, maybe a couple of times in the week.
ighten Posted January 10, 2017 #15 Share Posted January 10, 2017 Le Bistro (go early though so you dont end up in the stupid back room listening to bingo and that terrible duo they stick in that area) and Cagneys followed by the MDR.. The rest are either gimmicks (Meat fest or waving knives) or inedible (Irish pub).. Never tried La Cucina - menu now looks better but it still seems to get bad press
