JohninDC Posted January 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Often suggested on this board, budget motel near FLL, popular with cruisers, often offers day rates for those with late flights. Somewhat isolated. If you are flying in late and just want a room for the night, it will fit the bill.
jeraud Posted January 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Look at Yelp reviews. The word "roaches" comes up quite a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Flatbush Flyer Posted January 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Look at Yelp reviews. The word "roaches" comes up quite a bit. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Yes - "cheap clean hotel" is most often an oxymoron.
Lady Lucy Posted January 11, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Thank you everyone. We are flying in late so just need a place to sleep for the one night. I got it on Hotwire, and I was concerned. Guess we'll just plan on showering when we leave! Thanks again!
brunello22 Posted January 12, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 12, 2017 The hotel's adjacent restaurant has been shut down a number of times for failing health department inspections. Sent from my iPad using Forums
sanditoes4 Posted January 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 12, 2017 Has anyone stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Fort Lauderdale? Thanks We are staying there on Feb 5th prior to our cruise. I can report back if you are after that? Yelp has ugly reviews but Tripadvisor had decent reviews as do all the other reviews I found. We wanted cheap (room was $125 a night when booked), close by air & cruise ports, free shuttles and they have a dayroom we are thinking of using after the cruise while we wait for our late flight home. They have a bar & grill onsite, gift shop onsite and they sell wine for cruises onsite. So for a free ride to the hotel I won't have to leave once I get there until the next morning when they give me another free ride to the ship!! Honestly I have yet to stay in a memorable hotel anywhere in FL. I can let you know if you'd like.
