Will Labadie be crowded coming off the Oasis??

We have been to Labadie a few years ago and loved it. But at that time we were on a small ship, a little over 2000 passengers. So we just got a free beach chair and stayed for a couple of hours; no money spent except for a drink.

Now this time we are sailing on the Oasis (first time on a large ship for us). So I am thinking that with that many passengers, would you even be able to get a free chair and would there be tons of people around you. I see on the excursion list that RCI added a lot of activities since we were there. Also, I don’t remember all the loungers for rent; like the beach lounger for $45.

We are two seniors and will probably not be able to spend more than 2-3 hours in sun.

Any suggestion if the beach lounger would be a good choice, or should we just chance it and see if we can get a free chaise?

Just walk past the 1st beach area...that's ALWAYS the most crowded! Plenty of space. Labadee has been greatly expanded. There is NO need to pay for a lounger at all...if you get there early, you may have to tip a chair boy to bring loungers for you (they do that early in the morning)...but as the day goes on, and folks leave, there are loungers aplenty! No worries!

Take the water taxi over to Columbus Cove. It's beside the water park, but still feels secluded. Lots of shaded areas to put your lounge chairs. Easy access to food, drinks, and restrooms.

Despite being at Labadee on a large ship, the Anthem, we didn't feel crowded at the Cove at all. We spent our entire day there. Very relaxing. Be aware that the water taxi is one-way, but there's tram service available. Or you can walk back, of course.
