Liberty suite departures?

In the past year on a couple of different ships, SR and HOTS, the concierge gave several time options for debarking. Has LB done that recently? That has not been the case when we sailed LB, but would like to see this.

We had this on Navigator recently. I think the problem with doing that on Liberty is there are so many in Galveston who drive to the port and do self carry, that it slows down everyone who has checked luggage. Even if the concierge allows you to be the first person off the ship, you must wait for over an hour for ALL those doing self carry to exit, before they will allow you to go get your own luggage.(been there, done that, not fun, and almost missed a shuttle to the airport).

I've been on LB many times. I know suites usually are escorted off at 8:30. But I want to be off before that time. Just heard from a friend that she and husband carried off and were escorted by concierge to the front on the carry off line. That is exactly what I was looking for! Boy, you really get some dirty looks when you get past all those folks in line!

On the Liberty, was that with Carlos?

Liberty concierge(Anis) let me and several others off first, but unless you had all your luggage, you still had to wait until ALL people carrying all their luggage were off the ship(over an hour). A few were b2bs(just getting off for a few hours)and one or two people with all their luggage went straight through, but I was stopped because I had to pick up my luggage(red tag/suites).

I was still waiting when the concierge began bringing all the suite/pinnacles through the mobs of people.... I did get in front of them to get my luggage, and yes many dirty looks and unpleasant words. So, if you need off very early in Galveston from Liberty, my suggestion is take your own luggage and ask the concierge to let you be one of the first off the ship....right before the masses of those doing self assist get off.

Yes, I think we will do that next time. Grandma, I believe your name is Kay and you and husband just became Pinnacle in Dec. I see your posts on the D, D+ and P chat board. My name is also Kay and I hope to meet you some time.

You're right on all beliefs.:) Hope to cruise with you, too!:) We don't have a cruise booked, but are hoping to get our pinnacle package soon and book Freedom TA, using the certificate. I did MANY solo cruises in the last year to help us get to Pinnacle sooner, so having to watch my pennies more closely now.:D

Were you and your husband on Liberty in September? I was solo three weeks and did meet a lady named Kay....saw she and her husband in solarium area several times....my knee was giving me trouble on those b2b2bs.

Yes, we were on LB in Sept. That must have been me. I can't believe I don't remember meeting someone else with my same name! Duh! It must have been because we knew several couples and met several others on that b2b cruise and names got all jumbled up to me. We will be on LB again this coming May, Sept. and Dec., 2 weeks each. Maybe we will meet again.

I talked to you in the lounge...I think you had wine and I know I had vodka soda.:) I do remember you telling me you were another Kay, but as much as I've seen your posts on cc, i didn't know you were 39August. I sat with Carla, Dave, and their big group in VCL. Were you on for Carla and Dave's pinnacle cruise and party in the chapel? I was there.:D I was on from September 4-25. My birthday, 9/16, Jorge brought me a cupcake out to the lounge! I had also been on b2b solo in April, and met many of the Texan group then!:)
