Eurodam 7 night Eastern itinerary formal nights

We're on the January 28th 7 night sailing and for planning purposes would love to know what nights are the formal nights? I think we've got two of them which are two too many for us but it is what it is. Thanks for a heads up!

Usually, your sea days are used for the Gala (NOT Formal) Nights. Relax; they're fun, and there's no need for great formality in your dress.

The "formal" nights are now "gala nights" which are much more casual. You can go formal but a collared shirt is probably sufficient.

 

The Gala Nights will be the nights of the two sea days.

Your Gala nights will be Jan 29 and Feb 2.

Most men will be wearing slacks and a collared shirt. Ladies wear slacks or skirts with nice tops or dresses.

That is what the majority of the people have worn on our cruises the last couple of years.

We were on Eurodam last month and on the Gala nights the majority of people were dressed up - suits for men and something dressy for women. There were however, people who dressed casually.

 

I wish the cruise lines would do away with the silly pretense that these nights are anything special, (which IMHO, they're not), and just let people wear what they want. The only reason I go to the MDR is to sit down and be served.
