Is there a right time or sweet spot for booking?

As many have said, it is unpredictable. That being said, you have to be the judge yourself. Is the price being offered a good price, if no, then don't book and wait. However, if you think its a good price and you want to cruise, book it. I've got a small price match twice, but it wasn't ground breaking. It usually entailed loss of OBC, but netted me a small profit. Its gone down but not enough for me to take it when losing OBC.

The question you want to ask yourself. How much do you want to go on THIS particular cruise. IF the answer is yes, and its a good price, then book. However, if you're cruising in the next couple of months, it might benefit you to wait till you book onboard as you usually get reduced deposit price and OBC for doing so. However, there's a chance that the price will go up between now and then.
