WYTinman Posted January 29, 2017 Author #108 Share Posted January 29, 2017 It's time for a Spicy Margarita update!!!! Landshark servers up pretty good one. On par with Los Lobos, much better than Mr. Sanchos. As the sun rose higher in the sky, the day got hotter, and my legs and head got redder. I switched to the... RED SANGRIA. Speaking of Sunburns. I did see the smartest person of the day, when it come to skin health. WYTinman Posted January 29, 2017 Author #111 Share Posted January 29, 2017 Our Ship Awaits To sum up the Day: Beaches, The best of the cruise so far. I have read reviews from people complaining that the sand is course. It is. It's new, man made, sea shell sand. After a few Hurricane seasons it should be like every other beach. I liked that you don't sink to your ankles with every step. Villas I would rent one again. Sunburn OH BABY!! Did I get Fried. Bring sunblock and use it often. WYTinman Posted January 29, 2017 Author #112 Share Posted January 29, 2017 Just a reminder to all that wish to bring back pictures as a reminder of the good times. The best camera ever made for cruise photos is....... The one you have with you. Always bring something/anything that can capture that moment. Digital Film is Cheap. Take lots of shot. Delete the ones you don't like. You will find that you captured a few Gems. Selfies are allowed. Selfies by Mark Davis, on Flickr Most of all. WYTinman Posted January 30, 2017 Author #121 Share Posted January 30, 2017 And now the portion of the review many have been waiting for. Beaches IV The Final Cut. Costa Maya and Maya Chan Beach If people think the pier walk to Harvest Caye is long, wait until you get to Costa Maya. We didn't stay around the Cruise Port for very long as we had coveted reserved space at Maya Chan Beach. From what I saw of the port. There is Shopping, Bars, Eateries, and a Pool. Many excursions and excursion companies to take you to Mayan Temples in the area. Other than that...Not much. WYTinman Posted January 30, 2017 Author #122 Share Posted January 30, 2017 Two almost Earth Shattering events collided at Costa Maya. These events when combined almost, and I do mean ALMOST, caused the only stress that would be encountered this day. 1. The Norwegian Dawn Arrived early and the staff at Maya Chan was unaware. 2. Maya Chan had emailed all of us with a new meeting location outside of the port. When we got there....Crickets..... As it turns out the reason that Maya Chan had to move the meeting place had resolved its self. They are back at their normal spot. We were quickly directed back just in time for the Beach Staff to begin checking us in and putting us into the provided Taxis. The ride to Maya Chan is along a Beach Road approximately 6.5 Kilometers from the pier. The road is very bumpy that makes the ride seem longer than it is. But once at Maya Chan you quickly forget about the ride. For the price of admission at Maya Chan you get.
