Flight time question

I am taking a cruise out of Port Canaveral on the Carnival Liberty in May. I found a flight leaving at 11:40am out of MCO. Is that time feasible? Or will we be cutting it too close. I haven't flown in a long time and I'm not sure how long it will take to get off the ship and then get to the airport and thru security. Any help would be great! Thanks :)

If you look on the Florida Departures board, where this is discussed regularly, as it has to do, really, with ground logistics, you will make this if you arrange your own transport, but it will be tight and stressful.

For us - after seeing people frantically scurrying down the pier and seeing some actually miss the ship, we decided a long time ago to just fly in to the debarkation city, spend the night before at a hotel nearby the ship and relax. For Barcelona, we're flying in two days ahead just to be safe.

 

I would not feel safe at all flying in on the same day as debarkation.
