Beverage package discount day 1 of cruise?

I haven't seen discounts but could be they weren't offered on our sailing.

Classic package was offered as one of four free perks on our Reflection cruise earlier this month, but once on ship didn't see any discounts.

There was a 30 percent discount on specialty restaurants on sailaway day offered.

Never seen a discount. Would annoy those who prebook so unsure why they would offer an onboard discount.
