When are peak times for Any Time Dining -- in other words, when is best time to avoid long wait time. Also what time are the shows on the Star.

There usually two shows . There is one for early traditional and late traditional. Anytime seems to peak around opening. See the early show and have a late anytime dinning.

The last few cruises have had a three show program on most sea days. This format seems to spread the ATD across a broader timeline. I kind of like it because it shortens the show length a bit.

We recently disembarked the Star but had early traditional in the Amalfi DR so don't have any ATD experience.

My general ATD experiences have been that arriving when opening (5:00 on our Hawaii cruise) or after the 2nd ATD restaurant opens at about 7:30 were the least crowded times. Many passengers seem to prefer to dine between 6:00 & 7:00 resulting in delays to be seated. However there isn't a ship that could handle too many passengers who wanted to eat at the same time. The ship's itinerary seems to be another factor.

Nearly all Princess Theater performances were at 7:45 & 9:45 and rarely at 7:00 & 9:00.

We have found that peak times for people arriving are right after the shows let out. Get there about 15 minutes earlier and you have a chance.
