ukdeblarz Posted February 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Hi Everyone, I have cruised a lot but not since they started the new staggered boarding. I am traveling with 2 other cabins so want to get us all together. At what point do I sign up for a staggered boarding time? Do I do it now 108 days out or do I have to wait until 75 days out? Any advice? Thanks
StolidCruiser Posted February 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2017 There is no way to sign up for staggered boarding in advance. The only way to "sign up" for staggered boarding is in the terminal when they provide you with a boarding zone number after check-in.
hftmrock Posted February 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2017 I assume you mean staggered check in. You need to do it as soon as you are able to make sure you get the check in time you want. I would do it today
missygirl Posted February 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2017 We are cruising soon, I have read on CC about the staggered check-in. Do we call Carnival or my personal TA to set up a time? Thanks

If you all do not get the same time, you can all show up at he latest time. Sent from my iPad using Forums
riffatsea Posted February 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Go into your booking and look on the left side where it says check in. Click on that and you should see times available. Choose one of them.
lovestocruise19 Posted February 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2017 All I see under my online check-in is the basic guest info and onboard expenses. Maybe it is too early to pick a time. (My cruise isn't until Jan. 7, 2018).
okgirl Posted February 8, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2017 If you go in and edit your cruise documents it should be one of the pages that comes up, if you are cruising from a city that has staggered check in. Not all port do it.

Jenny in TX Posted February 8, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 8, 2017 We are cruising out of Galveston in October 2018 and staggered check in isn't available yet. I have chosen a time for our May 2017 cruise out of Galveston, but it isn't showing up yet for our 2018 cruise yet. I just assumed it was too early. I will check it periodically to make sure I get an early time slot for our big group.
sailinsusu Posted February 8, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Does Port Canaveral have staggered check in? We are sailing out of there January 2018 and it does not give me a check in time either. Sent from my iPad using Forums
calbred01 Posted February 8, 2017 #12 Share Posted February 8, 2017 Just something that may (or may not help) I cruised out of Galveston last May with a group of 19 and we all had FTTF and it worked beautifully. Would have been chaos if we had to choose a check in time!

sailinsusu Posted February 9, 2017 #16 Share Posted February 9, 2017 Thank you, ommax2! We just did a B2B out of there in January and they didn't do the staggered check in when we boarded. I did think I heard that they had started it at the end of January though. Sent from my iPad using Forums

maryred Posted July 28, 2017 #23 Share Posted July 28, 2017 Different ports and ships have a different schedule of when check-in appointments become available. For certain ports like Baltimore it is available sometime between 180-200 days before departure while other ports do not post it till 75-90 days before sailing. Also some passengers never are given the choice. Generally these are people that sign-up for the Carnival shuttles. Since this is a service provided by the cruise line with no set timetable for arriving at the port, they allow those passengers using the service to just check-in as they arrive. The best thing for many is to check their cruise manager regularly and sign-up for their roll call. Basically most roll calls will have someone that spills the beans about when the check-in appointments become available as well as someone that gives a heads up about Faster to the Fun being available on the excursion pages.
