Which adaptors to take

My husband and I will be travelling on the Celebrity Solstice in a couple of weeks, could someone please tell me are the electrical outlets in the cabin American as we are Australian so we need to know what adaptors to take. Thank you.

There are two types. The US style and the European Style (with 2 round prongs). I seem to recall that our Solstice Class cabins had two US Style Outlets and 1 European (all located at the desk/makeup area. There is also a low wattage US/European (switchable) outlet in the bathroom...that can handle things like electric razors or toothbrushes.

Recently returned from Solstice Sydney to NZ (wonderful cruise!). I carried US and European adaptors so we could use all at once in lieu of a powerboards. Worked fabulously. The European points worked best with our Australian appliances, but the US points worked well for overnight charging of phones/iPads and cameras (lower voltage points). If you take your own hair dryer, make sure you plug it into the European outlet for it to operate properly. Enjoy your cruise!!

When we Americans travel to Australia/NZ for our cruises, outside of cruising, what do we need in hotels to charge our appliances?

I would imagine that you will require an adaptor suitable for Aus/NZ outlets (we use the same powerpoints). They should be available at all reputable travel goods/accessories stores.

For hotels in Australia and New Zealand you will need one with slanted prongs.

Most hotels have them in the room but if not the front desk should be able to provide.

On the ship you can use US or European.
