And to double the excitement, it'll also be our very first cruise on the Breeze !! Yipee (OR I hope it'll be a YIPPEE cruise !) We've done twelve oout our past fifteen cruises on CCL and have loved every cruise, so we don't foresee why yhe Breeze would be any different. I did read in previous post that the dunshops were closed, and I hate that, but hopefully by Christmas the shops will be open. It's always been my wife's wish to do a Christmas cruise. so when I saw the Breeze was available (the 24th sailing) I booked it, and she was SOOO thrilled ! Anybody here ever done a Xmas sail (espically on the Breeze) Thanks, in advance for any info.

We did an 8 day cruise on the Dream leaving December 18 and loved it. Christmas activities, decorations, free champagne the first day, etc. We were in Cozumel Christmas Eve and the town was nicely decorated. I even won the Ship on a Stick for Christmas trivia.

We are going on the Breeze the week before you in December and we are so excited to see the ship all decked out for Christmas. This will be our 2nd time on the Breeze. We loved our last trip on her so much that we booked her again. I hope you enjoy your Christmas cruise!

THANK you sooo much for those BEAUTIFUL pictures !! My wife and I have sailed the Dream twice also ! It's her favorite CCL ship, she never tires of seeing her. Especially the prom deck. Inside the glass elevators, it's breathtakingly glorious. I had NO idea, how much they decorated the ship at Christmas. my wife LOVES decorations that time of year, can't wait for her to see it. Once again, thank you SO much!

And we will be on the sailing just after Christmas, we leave New Years Eve. We sailed on the Breeze in July this past summer and loved it! I hope the Christmas decorations will still be up, the ship looks so pretty in your pictures.

We have enjoyed several Christmas cruises on Carnival, Princess, and Royal Caribbean. They are very special. It's a fantastic experience due to the excitement, festive atmosphere, and awesome decorations.

If you are interested, you can see the pictures my wife took and posted to her website in my signature. The links are in green.

I hope you will return with lots of pictures to share as well as lots of happy memories. Enjoy every moment. A cruise is a great way to celebrate Christmas!

We have done several Christmas week sailings. Despite the higher price, nothing beats cruising during that week! Make sure you see it "snow" in the atrium on Christmas Eve!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my GOODNESS !!! How I would LOVE for my wife to see that !! Hopefully the Breeze will have it also. We've never (in my memory) had 'snow' on Christmas Eve, January 1st, yes but never any time close to Christmas. Thank you for telling me, maybeeee I can discretely check with the customer services desk and and IF they will have it I can 'accidently' (on purpose) have her there.

They definitely had it on Breeze when we were there during Christmas. They seem to do it on all the CCL ships when Santa comes to the atrium Christmas Eve. I would definitely check with Guest Services when you get on the ship. It will also be listed in the FunTimes. (youtube has some videos of it "snowing" on CCL Fantasy, etc., if you want to check it out.)

  • 2 weeks later...

We sailed on the Freedom the week before Christmas and I loved it! The atmosphere was different from other cruises we'd been on. We saw so many multi-generational families just hanging out and enjoying each other. The ship was quiet late at night and even the casino wasn't overly smokey. I think it is just a great time to cruise. The holiday decorations and added activities were just icing on the cake. Y'all will have a wonderful time!

We Did a New Years cruise on the Magic Two years ago and all of the decorations stayed up till after we docked. Enjoy. There is nothing like ringing in the New year on the deck of a ship with as much free champagne as you can drink!
