I was wondering if 14 days is to much on the Carnival Miracle ? I have read some bad reviews on the ship and the food. Please let me know what your thoughts are on this ship ?

You would have to be the judge yourself. Some love the ship and some hate it. I sailed her last September and 7 days was too long. I HATED the ship! I like the newer ships with all of the bells , whistles and additional food choices. The only food choices is the buffet area and I am not a buffet person. Don't trust that people are washing their hands and things floating around in the air is another issue. My saving grace was that I took a supply of protein bars for breakfast and a supply of Kind bars for when I couldn't find a decent lunch. The best food was when we were on the tours.

Any info on decks 9 or 10? You skipped those in your snarky reply.

Hello! Sorry for just jumping in. I sailed on the Miracle last Thanksgiving and yes, the smoking area on deck 9 is at the Odyssey Bar. You can drink at the bar there.

I am a respectful smoker, and I was wondering - is there anywhere on Miracle that one can smoke where drinks are also served? Any info would be appreciated, and please no hating, I do follow the rules. I called Carnival and they weren't even able to answer this for me - they suggested I post here lol!

casino bar, lido deck mid ship, nightclub 2nd floor, and I think the sports bar but not sure, we didn't go there except once and there was no bartender there.

There are a few tables (without any gambling) that are part of the casino bar, always see pax smoking there.

We took the Miracle on July 8th and had 4237 Vista suite. We did have a lot of fun and the food was pretty good. The steakhouse was really good, we went there twice on a 7 night. The pizza never disappoints for our group.

The comedians were fun and the staff was very friendly. The priority tender to Cabo went very smoothly. They asked priority passengers to meet at Alchemy bar and then we were escorted to the tender. We were off the ship at 11:05 when it docked at 11am.

I will say that I will never book an aft room again after the terrible experience on Miracle with the constant vibrations. It was noticeable just about 24/7 and was hard to get to sleep with how strong it was in the bedroom. One couple even asked to be moved to a different table because the one they were at in the aft dining room was shaking so hard the glassware was moving. I just couldn't believe that a room as expensive as the aft vista suite would come with a "magic fingers" style bed vibration....lol

I would take the Miracle again but never in the AFT. Have a great cruise!

I love the Miracle. Will be sailing on her 2 Journey cruises to Alaska and thru the Panama Canal.

I am biased a little because I really enjoy the Spirit class ships. Every deck has a flow instead of a dining room placed in the middle of the ship that I have maneuver around. She is an older ship though and people are absolutely correct that she doesn't have all the bells and whistles like the newer ships. The ship is still kept up though and always has been clean and well maintained.

Food to me is just like any other food on any other ship. She does have a Guy's Burger or Blue Iguana Cantina but I don't mind the old buffet style with nachos and chicken strips that those newer places took over. Buffet has been the same buffet that I've had on any other ship. Dining room is the same as well.

Activities are usually plentiful. There was 1 out 3 cruises that I took on the Miracle that the activities seemed sluggish. I still had a blast but spent most of my time in the casino or pool that cruise. Adam is going to be the cruise director for Alaska and Panama 2018 and I really enjoyed him as CD last November.

Miracle is my favorite ship in the Carnival fleet. I've sailed on her several times over the past few years and absolutely feel at home the moment I board. This is not the prettiest ship I've ever been on, but I love the 2 forward pools and the Serenity pool at the back of the ship. I love the comedy club and always have a blast in the casino. The crew is great and the service is good. I've enjoyed most of the food I've ordered and have to say that the steak house is amazing!

Enjoy!

Several places in the buffet where they hand you your food.

I'm more concerned about avoiding the MDR when they start twirling their napkins. Seen interesting things fly out of those.

My dw and I have a special place in our hearts for the Miracle, for it was our first cruise back in 2005. Although we spent the last 1 1/2 days in bad weather (hurricane Dennis:eek:), we still had a blast.

Same here. Same cruise as yours was our honeymoon. We enjoyed it except for the last day due to the hurricane. We have since switched lines but I have considered going back on the Miracle just don't have the time for another cruise. I do hope it keeps sailing for a long time so I can visit it again.
