There is a dock. A dock for tenders. These are boats that ferry people between ship and shore. You will walk on and off the tender.

 

In most other ports the ship will dock.

 

 

The pictures Ive seen it looks like you could just jump right off and walk to shore, :o ha!

 

That makes me nervous, is it something a lot of people get sick on? I don't do well on small boats in the ocean. Its probably a very short time?

Neither ships nor tenders "park"...just so you know. They "dock". Only RCI's Labadee has a dock that a ship can pull up to. All the other "private islands" are tendered....they are HUGE ferry boats that carry 150-200 passengers at a time....
