Carnival Glory Port or Starboard Balcony?

I am going on a Western Carribbean cruise, Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, Grand Cayman. We are looking to be on either deck 6 or 7 in a balcony cabin. Does anyone have any suggestions on whether the port (left - even #'s) or starboard (right - odd #'s) is better and why?

We like either one, ship can go into port on either side.

There is no way to predict how the captain will tie up at the dock. Cozumel, the ship can tie up on either side. You could be looking at another ship. Belize is a tender port. Grand Cayman is a tender port. Roatan you most likely be facing land on the starboard side.

My DH has mobility issues so he spends alot of time out on the balcony. We do this before booking our balconies - it doesn't always work out but it's fun researching.

We google each cruise port for images and after looking at tons for each port we determine which side has the best odds of facing the pier or where ever the best view is.

After looking at the port odds we look at the track the ship will take (based on previous sailings) to see if the ship passes anywhere near land we want to see. (like down the coast after sailing from Pt Canaveral or sailing into Key West harbor)

So ... when all is said and done ..... The side that has the most odds "hits" and/or scenic occurrences wins our booking :D:D

Port. The reason is for the view you will get leaving Miami if you decide to stay on your balcony.

We don't particularly care. As many stated above, it depends on which side the boat ports in and that isn't always the same or guaranteed. The only thing we don't care for is AFT (the back of the boat).

This is our feelings exactly. Aft = little to no breeze and limited shade.

I agree with everything you just posted but this past November in Roatan we watched to people get off and on the ship and the dock from out PORT cove balcony. There really isn't a certainty when picking port or starboard.

As already posted think about your sail away.
