Getaway Boarding Time

Is boarding strictly at 12:00pm or does boarding open earlier? Are you assigned a boarding number?

Boarding usually begins about 11:30. It depends on how fast they can get the previous guests off and the ship cleaned up. If you are there before that, you will be given a group boarding number as you arrive, the numbers being called one at a time after boarding begins. If boarding has begun and the group numbers are all called, you usually just walk right on after checking in.

We were on Getaway on 26th Feb - 5th March, we arrived at the port at 11.25 and were in group 5, we got onto the ship at 11.25am, all went very smoothly.

When we were disembarking, we were non US passport holders, left the ship at 8am and were in a taxi by 8.25. Best getting on and off the ship we have had.

We went thanksgiving week, got there at 11:15 and were on board quickly around 12:15.

We are going on the Getaway Feb 04-11, 2018 and we are flying out of FLL so we are very interested in how you arranged to get off the ship at 8am. We are also non-us (Canadian) and have a 11:40am flight to YYZ From FLL. Did you make special arrangements?

General boarding starts between 11:15 and 11:30.

 

If you don't have priority embarkation (Suites guest, casino guest, Ambassador/Platinum Plus/Platinum status), you are given a boarding group number. If you want to avoid the crowds, show up at the port around 10:30 (we usually aim at 10:15) when the lines for security and check-in are short. The buffet opens for lunch at 11:30. The main dining room opens at noon. Get on early and enjoy your first of many fine meals on the ship.
