MSC Divina (April 22 2017 - Caribbean)

Is ANYONE booked on the MSC Divina for this cruise? The Roll Call is deader than a door nail. Starting to feel like we are going on a ghost cruise.

I wouldn't worry. MSC just (very) recently started hosting Cruise Critic meet and mingles. Most people probably do not know this, and this usually goes hand in hand with an active roll call on the forums.

Thanks. We have registered for the meet and greet. But even for that event, there are only 10 people. I'm very worried that I booked a dud of a cruise.

Divina roll calls are always super slow. Not all nationalities use cruise critic.

Don't worry, it will be packed and you will have a great time. It is normal to have anxiety over a new line, especially one that is really trying to establish their presences in North America, like MSC is. One good thing about MSC ships, they tend to "go to bed later", meaning the nightlife (bars, live music, etc.) die down later than on NCL, RCI, etc. I am referring to regular bars, not the disco, which is always busy well into the night on most ships across the lines

Cruisecritc represents a tiny fraction of people on any given cruise. I'm sure your cruise will be busy even if there aren't many cruisecritic members sailing.

A lot of them can be pretty lacking. I have a cruise on Carnival in May that doesn't even have a roll call for it and we are like 73 days away. Our sailing this Saturday has a few posts but not overly busy.

I think the slowness of that particular thread may have something to do with the date, right after the Easter / Passover holidays are over. By contrast, my wife and I are on the April 15 Divina so we will be on the ship for Easter. Our Roll Call thread has 45 members and 7 pages. That is tiny by comparison to (for example) a typical Royal Caribbean Roll Call but it is a lot more than 10 people. In fact, over 60 people have signed up for our Meet and Mingle. However, your dates are at a time when it is harder to arrange to be off from work.

We're on that cruise. When I click on roll calls, that sailing does not show. We're planning to lay pretty low in YC so I have not been very proactive in finding a roll call.

Your April 22 sailing is sold out with only some balcony suites remaining. I just found out the April 8 and April 15 itineraries are also sold out.
