Pictures on Gala Night?

Wife and I are sailing the Eurodam to Alaska this September - our first HAL cruise

 

We have only sailed on Carnival up until now and my wife likes to have "formal" pictures of us taken prior to dinner on their Elegant Nights

 

Does HAL do something similar?

Yes. The photographers will be set up in several locations for formal night photography. They're usually around the center atrium areas on decks 2 & 3.

To be honest, I was hoping for the opposite - that way I don't have a reason to bring a suit, lol!

If you want a formal photo, have a set done at each photo station as the backdrops are different. Who knows, you may find a photo that is awesome!

Besides the colored pictures, there is an area where you can get black and white photos taken.
