Casino DOU drinks available?

I've got a DOU card waiting for me when I hit the casino on the Sunshine next weekend. Just wondering if there is a drinks menu of sorts, or what kinds of drinks are available? Other than the usual Miami Vice and Twilight Zone. I just feel like I'm missing out on some good drinks I don't know about. :p

I love a good Bloody Mary, but those can be hit or miss. (Dream's were fantastic, Valor's were horrid) Not too fond of really sweet drinks, but will drink a colada now and then, maybe Fuzzy Navel, Brandy Alexander...

What are your favorites? What delicious drinks are my options with the DOU card?

Any drink under $10.00.Try a Moca Mudslide

Ooh, yeah, I've heard about those. Sounds right up my alley. Got more suggestions? I'm making notes. :D

What I really was curious about was whether there is a drinks menu or not. How will I know what drinks cost what? So if I ask for a call brand instead of bar brand, do I pay the difference, or doesn't that count as a DOU comp? And what about other things, like spiked coffee for instance? I'm just trying to be prepared and make the best of my perk.

I found Carnival's Bloody Mary mix so salty it was like poison, and I like salt. Bartender suggested a Bloody Caesar (just "Caesar" for you Canadians). It tastes like what a Bloody Mary should be. I get 4 of those monster olives if I went straight to the casino and haven't eaten breakfast. ;p

The casino bar uses the same bar menu as other "regular" bars located inside the ship (the pool bars have a bit of a different menu as far as I remember).

Here's a link to the cruise critic copy of this menu.

As you can see, there are lots of choices.

Also - the servers in the casino will have a copy of the bar menu in their apron. Whenever I'm indecisive, I ask to see the menu refresh my memory on some options.

Personal favourites are the Hurricane Wave, white Russian, and the Tiramisu martini. My mother favours the Mocha chocolate getaway, Bahama Mama, and Pirate Punch.

If I'm into some more hard-core drinking - the Cruiser does the trick.

Those menus are just what I was looking for. I wasn't sure if the casino bar would be different from the rest or whether the drinks available with DOU card were from a special list or what. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Tiramisu martini?? Oh my... that's definitely going into my notes! Thanks!

You will have full run of the bar with your DOU card, there's not a select menu. Stop by the casino bar before gambling and take a look at the menu.

Thank you. Whenever I asked my servers for a menu, I got a blank stare. Next time I'll just stop by the bar first. ;)

I love the Cruiser which someone mentioned. "Problem" is it's served in a red wine glass and I swear, 3/4 of it is ice. I can take 3 sips thru the straw and the drink is GONE! If you like Mojitos, I've had some good ones in the casino. I LOVE the Caribbean Colada. It is kind of a not sweet Pina Colada. But they only make it in the Red Frog Rum bar (for some reason!:() and I haven't been able to get one in the casino yet.

Thanks for the tip about the Cruiser. Might try one. Mojitos are good too, but like Bloody Marys they can be wildly different depending on who's making them. :p That Caribbean Colada sounds perfect for me. I'm not fond of overly sweet drinks, but I do love a colada, so that may be my first drink order at the Red Frog on the Lido deck before sailing!

Oooh is a Pirate's Punch on the menu? If not what is in it?

I agree about Mojitos. I think it was on Liberty I found a bartender who made them exactly like I like them and kept going back. The Cruiser IS a sweet drink. But it's very good. WTH, if you have a DOU card, you can experiment.

And that's why I started this thread, to see what drinks are available to me that I might be missing out on. LOL

I don't ever recall seeing spiked coffee at any of the bars on a ship. You can get just about any drink if they know how to make it. One that I tried that was pretty good was a Kiss on the Lips. Another is Miami Vice.

The spiked coffee is at the specialty coffee spot

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but I was just wondering if I could get coffee while I'm playing in the casino, and if I could also get it with maybe a shot of Kahlua or Amaretto or Bailey's or something like that.

You describe it, they will make it. In Grand Turk I had the Sandy Vag**** from Jack's Shack. Asked for it in the casino and they were like WHAT?? Told them what was in it and they made it. But they started calling it a Poosay (with a French accent). You want more Poosay sir? **snicker snicker snicker**
