DSKslots Posted March 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2017 Hi There, I'm going on the britannia soon and really looking forward to it! I have a few questions about the casino if anyone can help me out. Can I play on the slots without using my pass card? I have seen conflicting information on this. I don't like to use the card for various reasons and I know you do not have to do this on NCL or RCCL. What sort of slots do they have? Do they have nice modern ones? WMS? IGT? Something else? I really hope they're not british style ones... I understand it is a bit smaller than the US ships, but is there a decent variety? is there also a non-smoking area of the casino? Thanks! No smoking anywhere inside a P&O ship. You can play the machines without using your card by feeding in notes. Not sure about the new £5. However to get to your winnings I am sure you have to insert your charge card. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
CCFC Posted March 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2017 The slots are up to date but its a tiny casino, if you compare it to a Princess or RCI casino you will be disappointed.

If I have to use the card to get any winnings then I guess I won't be playing them then. :(
daiB Posted March 27, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 27, 2017 The slots are up to date but its a tiny casino, if you compare it to a Princess or RCI casino you will be disappointed. It's tiny because they are not well used. Apart from me. Clearly if they thought they would make more money they would make them bigger. Some nights I have failed to get any game on the tables. I don't like playing on my own as your money goes very quickly. And the table limits are very low most are £2 minimum bet. When I started cruising it was £3. But even at £2 now they do very little business. It will be an interesting comparison when I go on Crown in May. davecttr Posted March 27, 2017 #6 Share Posted March 27, 2017 The Ventura casino was busy on the xmas cruise Dai. I managed a couple of hours of blackjack each evening though. They have changed the rules to UK blackjack so don't use the little mirror anymore. You need to alter your gameplay accordingly.

You press a button to "cash out", and it prints a slip of paper stating what the value is. You take this to the cash out "office", and the kind people hand the cash over to you. I won £132 on Britannia last November, and that,s what I had to do

Although I do use my card. Much better than the noise from all the coins dropping. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
