GUT2407 Posted March 31, 2017 #26 Share Posted March 31, 2017 I've never been to speciality restaurant on a Princess cruise out of Australia that has been more than 1/4 full. However I've never tried to go on the first couple of nights, we usually go later in the cruise, and rarely book more than a day ahead. Sometimes we just make a last minute decision if the MDR menu isn't appealing and have always got a table. I've seen them more than 1/4 full. But never had a problem getting a table, even on a walk up basis.
Rare MicCanberra Posted March 31, 2017 #27 Share Posted March 31, 2017 Waiting lists are important...they indicate a demand and give a sign that its OK to increase the price.;p;p That is what I figured as well, apparently they don't use them anyway. Not sure about Princess, but X and RCI often have 50% off for the first night in their specialty restaurants when booked on board.
