Tillylovesseabourn Posted April 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2017 hi, I am wondering if anyone can help please. 1. If QV is in venice overnight, will we be able to disembark around 8am? 2. What time can queens grill passengers join the ship for embarkation, ie can you join for lunch prior to getting your cabin? Many thanks.
Lanky Lad Posted April 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2017 Embarkation usually starts about 12 noon. They need to get everyone off the ship before new guest are allowed to board.
Chunky2219 Posted April 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted April 5, 2017 Grills restaurant usually opens at 1pm on embarkation day. You can eat there up to about 2:30pm IIRC. If you board a little early, you might be sent off to the buffet, the Queens Room or somewhere else to wait for cabins. Don't bother, just get a lift and go to the Grills Lounge to either wait for your suite or to kill time until the Grills open. Grab a coffee and ask the concierge to let you know when your accomodation is ready. Your seapass only works in the aftmost two of the four central lifts to get you to Deck 11, the others don't have a slot for the card. Make sure to head for a Grills check-in desk at the terminal. The handlers at the door will steer you somewhere slower if you don't tell them what you want. However, the Grills desk(s) don't always open up early enough so if not available, just pick a normal desk. .
Tillylovesseabourn Posted April 5, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted April 5, 2017 Thanks for the replies. Do you think we would be able to disembark at 8am if we pre arrange this and the ship is already in port? Thanks
Lanky Lad Posted April 5, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 5, 2017 To be off so early you would most likely need to carry your own bags off. As a Grills passenger, you will be one of the first off, but I would expect this to be between 8.30 and 9am.
Rare Solent Richard Posted April 7, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2017 Thanks for the replies. Do you think we would be able to disembark at 8am if we pre arrange this and the ship is already in port? Thanks Nothing is impossible when in the Grills and I'm pretty confident your request will be met. As you indicate, the ship is in port overnight, therefore the luggage would be in the terminal by that time.
