Can anyone educate me on Baby Beach? Best way to get there, is it close enough to feel comfortable going there if your in from the cruise... or possibly any other beach that would entertain any and all ages from 2-34 in the Aruba port??:D

Of course, it's on the ocean. Not sure where that comment came from, but it is a "cove" beach rather than an open beach, so there are fewer, if any waves, etc. Maybe that's what they meant.

Yes, it's close enough to go when you come in on a cruise. It's on the same "side" of the island, but it's the opposite direction of most of the beaches that people go to. It's in a much more remote location, so the facilities are almost non-existant, but it's a nice shallow piece of water if you just want to splash around. I wouldn't count on being able to catch a taxi back from there so you would want something set up before you go.

Yes, Baby Beach is on the Ocean...although the part inside the rocks is somewhat sheltered (which is what makes it a decent place for young folks). But getting to and from Baby Beach is not an easy exercise for cruisers. Using taxis will be very expensive. The best option would be to rent a car for the day. Keep in mind its about 15 miles (each way) from the Port. Personally, it is not one of our favorite parts of the island. When it comes to beaches we prefer Eagle. For adult snorkeling we usually go out to Arashi....where there is some of the best snorkeling (on the island) about 1/4 - 1/3 of a mile from the beach. The distance is not a big deal for skilled snorkelers who have decent fins.
