Does anyone know what level on the ship (Summit) you use for self disembarkation?

And does self disembarkation stop when the regular disembarkation begins?

We will be getting on and off the ship at Cape Liberty, Bayonne, New Jersey.

Thanks much.

Don't know if this for every port, but on Summit, Christmas cruise 2016, disembarkation in San Juan, we did self disembarkation...were supposed to go to deck 3 (and we saw passengers walking on dock from that level from our port side window before we left our room)...but we got to deck 3 we were too late and that door was closed(the door that you go through typically to leave the ship when in daily port)...we were redirected to deck 4.

Summit sailings from Cape Liberty embarkation/disembarkation is from Deck 4 area.

Usually self-disembarkation begins anytime between 6:30 am –7:00 am depending on when the ship actually docks and gets cleared.

One sailing we were delayed docking because of heavy fog. It was already 7 am and we were not even at the pier yet.

If you request this they will send you the time and the place to meet, of course you can basically walk off the ship any time after it clears if you have all your luggage with you and you can manage.

Level 4.

NO, it continues even after regular disembarkation begins.

Self-disembarkation begins as soon as the ship is cleared by customs. Generally, when traveling to and from Bermuda, the ship arrives very very early and is just waiting for Customs to arrive.
