asalligo Posted February 13, 2018 #26 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Agreed! It does get old. If you have bad service, you simply remove the tips. Nobody will tell me how I should spend my money. This is so true. I have always tipped the crew on each cruise, but we have to remember in cruises and all the other portions of our lives that these are tips and we must work to keep them tips. How many of us still tip %20 for terrible service? We all have to stop doing that unless we want tips to become convenience fees. If Carnival keeps lowering their level of service, I will be forced to fight back in the only way they have given me. You can just stop cruising! Who said that!, who is the lousy no good voice in the back of my head who said that?!? You better watch it bud!
Rare Saint Greg Posted February 13, 2018 #27 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Agreed! It does get old. If you have bad service, you simply remove the tips. Nobody will tell me how I should spend my money. Tips are for good service and need to be earned, not expected! My last cruise I was told that if I didn't want to leave tips, I had to wait until the second to last day, until they were charged to my account, and then I could remove them. Cash is always better than a check. 😉 Yeah it gets old...l’d say about a year old :')

lcpagejr Posted February 14, 2018 #29 Share Posted February 14, 2018 Come on.... This is hilarious. Either I must be the luckiest person in cruising history or my tolerance level is extremely high.... In 20+ cruises I have never come close to what I would consider "poor" service.... Sure...at times someone may have screwed up an order...forgot to serve me, forgot some room ice. But not consistently. Just the thought of people stating they are or would remove auto gratuity's is very alarming. If you can't afford $90/wk/pp in gratuity fees....you shouldn't be on the ship in the first place.
