Hi! I have only been on Celebrity, but was thinking of trying Royal next year. Since it would be my first cruise with them and I am starting from the bottom, would my service be equal to someone that has a high status?

What is your status on Celebrity? If you're Elite on Celebrity, I believe you would be Diamond on Royal, but you have to set that up before you cruise.

one, they do not discriminate in the public spaces. unless you are flashing your card, they have no idea what you status is.

 

two, Royal and Celebrity are under the same parent company so they match status, up to Diamond on Royal

There are some lounges with free cocktails you would not have access to, but other than that, you should not notice any difference.

It's just a shame that although you get equivalence any points earned aren't transferable.
