Carnival glory

We were on the Glory in November and we're booked again for next February. The only thing that I really disliked was the organization and flow of the lido buffet. We eat most of our meals there, and I thought it could stand for some improvement. But the staff and the ship itself were great. I hope Andrei is still working in the Sports Bar in February for Superbowl! Don't worry about the negative comments--so many things are subjective! Just go with an open mind and don't sweat the small stuff.

We were just on the Vista and I didn't love it. It was fine, but missed the crazy decor and cool little lounges on the older ships. I'm more excited about my Glory cruise in June, now that I've experienced the Vista. I've been on the Liberty (Glory's sister) and liked it much more than the Vista.

Unless a ship is really, really old, they are all going to be a matter of taste.

I've sailed on the Conquest class ships (Conquest, Glory, Valor, Freedom and Liberty) maybe 15+ times. The ships are basically the same in design and layout, although there are some differences in decor. They handle nice in any weather, the casino's slots rarely pay me a big jackpot, so the casino fares are nice to come by and book.

I had my longest cruise on the Glory, 21 days of two B2B Journeys cruises, and I'm sailing the Glory in June on a casino fare promo. It's not the Vista, but I'm okay with that.

We loved most of the Glory, but it was just before dry dock. Arvin, our room steward was outstanding. Richard and Miro at the Alcemy Bar were so great. They made the cruise so much fun. Wait staff in the MDR were so much fun. Great service, fun people and pretty good food.

We sailed Glory March of 2015 and it was the least favorite of all cruises. We drove 2 days for a 4 day cruise, then drove another 2 days back home (never again). The weather was the worst we've ever experienced, we opted for an interior since it was 4 days and our room steward didn't clean our room 2 out of the 4 nights (had to call housekeeping to get beds lowered). All of that being said, this class of ship is our favorite. We just sailed on Conquest and had an absolute blast! Also cruised Triumph out of Galveston - awesome! So we're now booked once again on Glory for March, 2018 with good friends and we're looking forward to another great and memorable vacation! Enjoy and don't read much into reviews as they are all subjective. You'll have a blast!

P.S. We were not fans of the Dream but many love it.

Glory is a great ship. Other than feeling a little worn out, it was perfectly nice. After the recent drydock, I'm sure it's that much better. I personally prefer the larger ships but would consider Glory again someday as well.

It's hard to give pros and cons other than it's a little older and may not have as many bells and whistles as a ship like Vista. But as you can see, many don't exactly like Vista....

I booked a premier casino cruise on the glory but now I am nervous. I see a lot of people say it was not their favorite ship. Should I have booked a different ship? What are the pros and cons of this ship? Any insight would be helpful. TIA....

Just got off Glory yesterday and I have mostly all positive to say about it. There were minor mishaps that could have happened on any other ship. Nothing that would prevent me from sailing her again.

Pro is that the entertainment staff is great and very energetic. They do their job as if they really love it even when you think they should be tired.

Con is the CD makes repetitive announcements. I believe the current cruise is his final cruise before his vacation and then he will be moving to another ship. He is great at what he does but if the announcements will annoy you then I suggest booking this ship to be certain you won't be on the next one he is on :).

Totally agree about the CD. Seriously, I have never been so annoyed and avoided activities just to NOT hear him talk, and talk, and talk - repetitive, annoying nonsense, unbelievable made up "true" stories that took forever to tell with much repeating of the same thing over and over. And I haven't even mentioned the "What's going on?" at all times. Just put a damper on the trip to be annoyed so often. He definitely needs to be told to tone it down.

The ship was fine, staff great, dining room food really very good (but long meals, as always in the main dining room). We decided to skip one night and go to the buffet - mistake. As long as the meal is, it is so much better than the very limited buffet at night.

Entertainment was good, comedy shows very good. I also found the cabin upkeep lacking compared to previous cruises. I think they may be short-staffed or just adding to the workload for the stewards and they are stretched too thin. Rooms were cleaned adequately but could have been better.

The itinerary was very good. We did not do a Carnival excursion.

Overall, so much was positive. I just wasn't "wowed" for some reason. As many have said, it's subjective. A lot also has to do with who you are traveling with. Good company and a good ship with good food and entertainment should make for a great cruise. Enjoy!
