B2B and turning platinium

 Share

Recommended Posts

Right now I have 64 cruise days. I have a B2B on Dream (7nights each) in August so beginning the 2nd leg I'll have 71 cruise days.

I think I get platinum status on the second leg, right? Will Carnival's tracking system show it for the second leg or will I likely need to go to guest services to get shown as platinum?

It won't matter a check of a lot except for the laundry benefit.

Thanks!

My status was supposed to changed on night 6 of our last cruise; however, when I checked in at the port to embark on our cruise, I was given a sign and sail card that reflected my new status! I had the perks for the whole cruise!

When you check into the second leg of your B2B you will be considered Platinum. You MIGHT have to go to Guest services to get this fixed, because it takes the system a few days to credit cruises back. If you cruise is properly marked as a B2B it should automatically be updated.

Congratulations on making Platinum and having a B2B!

Congrats on reaching platinum, you can also check on cruise documents it will show your status. I am hitting platinum on my next cruise as well and happy to see it on my documents.

That's funny, my wife will turn platinum on the 2nd leg of our Vista cruise next March. I did the online check in and her boarding pass shows the platinum status. She is a cruise ahead of me so I still need to do one more to reach platinum. Have fun on your cruise!

I went from platinum to diamond several cruises ago on a second cruise that were 1 day apart,. the system was not upgraded for the second cruise when I checked in the next day. All I did was go to guest services and it was upgraded quickly. I did have to show "proof", I had just gotten off the previous cruise. Had my bill and card ready.

Thanks all. My docs for both say 'priority' because they are booked on a casino promo code. Am excited to turn platinum especially for the laundry perk that will really be needed on week 2!

Yes, that was correct.

Yes, if you reach the next status during the cruise, you receive those benefits the entire cruise.

Make sure your B2B bookings are linked. We hit platinum on the 2nd leg of our B2B on the Vista last fall, however, because we had booked them separately, they had never been linked together. Once they were, our cruise docs for both legs were updated, and we were Platinum from day 1!
