allison0523 Posted May 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2017 They all sound fun. We booked a 75 minute wave runner tour from St. George on our upcoming Bermuda cruise.
doones2 Posted May 13, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 13, 2017 Is your ship docking in St George? You can also rent wave runners at the Dockyard.
HokiePoq Posted May 13, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 13, 2017 Things unique to Bermuda like....cliff jumping....cave swimming...swimming in the Blue Hole....lighthouse climbing... We did all of those in one private excursion plus another day at the beach and another on public transit seeing St. George and Crystal Caves plus a rum swizzle at the Swizzle Inn. I didn't want to rent them there because of the America's cup and how busy it will be around there. Also, it seemed like it would be calmer near St. George. Cyber Kat Posted May 13, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 13, 2017 So much to do and so little time. [emoji2] We've been going to Bermuda for decades. It's our favorite place! I've done parasailing twice with KS Watersports and loved it. Phenomenal experience! The helmet dive with Hartleys is excellent. Great fun. We love the Famous Homes and Hideaways tour. Great 2.5-3 hour boat tour through all the coves and inlets where the wealthy of Bermuda live. Knowledgeable and entertaining guides and there is an option to stop in Paradise Lakes for a swim. Restless Native does several different catamaran and snorkel cruises that include rum Swizzles and homemade chocolate chip cookies. Another of our favorite things to do is to go to the Aquarium & Zoo on the bus (#10 or #11 from Hamilton). It's a great little zoo - stay to watch them feed the seals (around 1:00pm) and interesting aquarium - also a natural history museum. After that we hop back on the bus and head for the famous Swizzle Inn for lunch and Swizzles. We like horseback riding along the Railway Trail with Mike Watson of Bermuda Trails. Mike is great and has lots of Bermuda stories. St George is a World Heritage site - very quaint with lots of history behind it Hamilton, the capital, has great shopping, pubs, restaurants and a nice art gallery. The National Museum of Bermuda has Dolphin Quest within its walls. You can watch for the price of admission to the museum or pay to interact with them. The museum has interesting exhibits and awesome views from the top of the hill. There's a lighthouse, several forts (all with fabulous views), caves, Tom Moore's Jungle and some of the most beautiful beaches you will find anywhere with soft pink sand and incredible turquoise water. Don't book your excursions through the ship because there's no need to hurry back except on the last day. The Island Tour Centre right at the piers can help with pretty much anything you're looking for. There are shuttles that will take you to Horseshoe Bay for $7 pp. You can also buy passes for unlimited rides on the public buses and ferries. As I said... so much to do and so little time Sent from my iPhone using Forums
