Things You Were Told You Must Pack But Never Used

We don't bring an alarm clock, because there's an app for that.

We don't bring a white noise machine or fan, bc there's an app for that.

My smartphone, iPad and Kindle cover a multitude of items and take up a tiny amount of space. :)

I need to remember to take half a dozen clothespins. I always forget them and wish I had them to hold towels in place and hang wet clothes.

We always take tons of first aid stuff. Extra pills of all kinds. I wouldn't doubt if it wasn't at least 10 pounds. We usually go to the med center and have never used anything other than a bandaid so we talked and decided those bags are staying home next time.

We take but never use markers - never have taken magnets - saw a cabin where they had more junk on the walls. Looked so tacky.

now, we always have duct tape and haven't needed it for years but have given it to others so we will continue bring it.

Most cell phones come with a flashlight so I stopped bringing one. just remember to charge your phone.

Cell phone stays in safe unless its being used.

Keep a flashlight on my lanyard. Also have one that attaches to the wall with a magnet.

Always interesting to see how others travel and what works for them.

I am really enjoying this thread. Glad I started it. :D

It's interesting to read what people use and what they don't use. I have never really paid much attention to the must have list. I do take a flashlight. Never had to use it thank God. I have never taken Duct tape but I think I will start.

I used to take post it notes, now I take erasable markers and leave notes on bathroom mirrors, easily cleans up and causes no harm.

Write change of plans, meeting times and reminders.

Everyone eventually gotta use the bathroom in the cabin.

Just saying.
