Staying at the embassy hotel on 17 th street are we near the water taxis?

Go east on 17th toward the bridge only stay left or right all the way to the waters edge. It's about 1/2 to 3/4 mile, guess? The Taxi station is next to the Hilton Hotel.

 

Just checked it's 0.8 mile and a 17 min walk.

Not really. You'd have to walk up to the area of the Hilton Marina, which is about a half mile away, or approx a 15-20 minute walk, or longer. I'm a fast walker and it takes me about 15.

It's a flat, easy walk as long as you aren't bothered by 6 lanes of traffic and, if you are doing it in the summer, the heat and humidity. The Sun Trolley also has a route on 17th Street and leaves from the Harbor Shops right behind the Embassy Suites. You would just wave it down for the return trip. It is $1/ride or $3/day pass. Walk out of back entrance of parking area.

 

Cross Harbor shopping plaza to Publix.

 

Catch Sun Trolley $1 each ride or $3 all day pass

 

Ask driver to set you down at Water Trolley.
