Credit Card when boarding

Hi

I'm going on Princess Sun leaving next Saturday from Sydney and I've completed the cruise personaliser including credit card details.

 

However today I've accidentally damaged my credit card I used, it still works but is bent in half and doesn't swipe very well (chip still works). Do you need to present your credit card on check in if you've already completed your booking online?

 

I've been on heaps of cruises but I can't for the life of me remember.

 

Will be a little bit embarrassing to present this card and it's not with a major bank so can't duck into a branch to get a new one. Postal card won't arrive in time before we leave next Thursday.

 

Any help would be great!

We've always been asked for our card. Edited to add ... sorry didn't read properly. We have no experience with Princess.

Our last cruise with Princess was in November. I had our credit card out ready when checking in, asked if she needed it, she replied " is it the one you registered with, ending in xxxxx" we said yes and she said she didn't need to see it.

So good luck, hopefully you have another one with you just in case;)

Yeah, Princess they use the details on file and you don't need to give again.

 

Whereas RCL you don't give the full number, so have to show the card when you check-in.

 

In short it varies by cruise line, but Princess will be fine.

We had the same scenario for us so no worries having to present the card.
