Casio now open in WA waters

Recommended Posts

Woohoo, enjoy the Casino.

My first thought when I read the title was 'What about Seiko, Citizen, Rolex, Swatch and Omega ?' I didn't think the type of watch you had really mattered for cruising. :p[/quote

Looks like the Casio is now open on cruise ships in WA waters . great news as i hope we will get more ships in WA .on eden now for three day local cruise and it was open

When we were onboard in May, a Senior Officer told us that talks were in place to open the Casino for the Perth cruises now that there was a new Government and he suggested it would be sooner rather than later. WOW, that is pretty soon. Great news. :D Mind you, I am $20.00 gambler - when it's gone - it's gone, and that's usually for a week !!!!!!!!!

I wonder if Carnival and P&O will rethink their decision now or if it was more to do with the ports up and down the WA coast.[/quote

I hope they do the Freo port issue is not that valid when they use a working port in Brisbane and they have even more cruise ships next year

The casino opened last night as soon as we left bunbury WA and bingo is on today

It will certainly be interesting, Fremantle and Geraldton are deep ports - near the towns, Exmouth and Broome slightly different, but if people can't get ashore - they could gamble ;p The gambling issue with WA has always been a big thing for the cruise lines. They have sort of got round the duty free issues - as they open all the shops now whereby it was usually only the general store type, lollies band aids etc. The other shops sell all their merchandise even if it isn't duty free. Don't know about the alcohol store though.
